CPD Seminars

Purpose - In September 2010, CIBSE introduced a significant update to Code:W which relates to water distribution system commissioning. To accompany the new code BSRIA simultaneously launched its own guide to water commissioning BG2-2010. To inform mechanical engineers, Danfoss has launched a new CPD seminar to highlight key changes to the code. The seminar gives an introduction to new methods of commissioning automatic balancing valves, along with updates to guidelines on flow rate tolerances, radiator balancing and commissioning low flows.

The Complete Balancing Solution for Variable Flow Systems Part 1 - Heating

 

Purpose - In Part 1 of the complete balancing solution we look at control and balance of heating systems. This covers the main applications of 2 pipe radiator systems, underfloor heating circuits, and de-centralised plant control and balance. We look at the sizing of pressure controllers and at methods of system bypass for pump protection.

Purpose - In Part 2 of the complete balancing solution we look at balance and control of cooling systems. This covers the main applications of fan coil, chilled beam, and air handling unit control and balance. We look at the advantages of pressure independent control valves in improving control authority, reducing pump energy usage, and the potential savings on system installation and commissioning
